Kelly David Williams works as a Senior Engagement Manager with Emergency Management and Safety Solutions. In that capacity, he works with EMSS clients in all aspects of developing and exercising comprehensive business continuity management systems, including program governance strategies, crisis management plans, business recovery plans, crisis communications plans, and technology disaster recovery plans.
Prior to joining EMSS Kelly served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for three San Francisco Bay Area companies. In this role, Kelly worked as a member of the executive leadership team, providing leadership and oversight for all aspects of the enterprise technology environment including applications, platforms, and networks. Kelly also served as the executive sponsor for those companies’ emergency management programs.
Kelly’s background also includes work as a Vice President at Visa International where he created and led the company’s first dedicated business continuity planning department, which was responsible for creating and testing disaster recovery plans for Visa’s four international data centers, and business continuity plans for multiple corporate office locations. Kelly also served on Visa’s Information Security Steering Committee.
Kelly also enjoyed the privilege of serving with the White House Communications Agency, a joint service military organization responsible for providing all aspects of communications and information technology support to the President of the United States, the National Security Council, and other members of the Executive Branch of the federal government.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Business Administration degree from San Jose State University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Concord Law School.
