Ed Prophet is a senior educator and trainer specializing in emergency and disaster preparedness with over 25 years of experience.
Drawing from his vast past professional experience as an Emergency Medical Technician and a volunteer fireman, Ed brings a sense of realism to the training he conducts at medical, industrial, commercial, educational, legal and financial institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In addition to being an instructor and an instructor trainer in First Aid, Prophet has been an active member of the Affiliate and Regional Faculty of the American Heart Association for many years. His undergraduate training in geology and geography have helped Ed to bring understanding to the complexities of Earthquake preparedness. Currently certified as a Fire Safety Director by the San Francisco Fire Department, Prophet is able to develop High Rise safety sessions to ensure the safest, most efficient occupant responses in an emergency.
He has established himself as a dependable researcher in areas such as safety training standards and California’s injury and illness prevention program (SB198). Ed holds a Certificate in Hazardous Material Management from the University of California Berkeley Extension and is knowledgeable in penetrating the web of environmental and toxic regulation.
