Completed a full evaluation of the organization’s business continuity program, using the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council business continuity standard as the examination baseline. The evaluation included all aspects of the organization’s business continuity program, including incident management, business process recovery, technology disaster recovery, crisis communications, and pandemic response planning. The evaluation also included detailed recommendations for addressing all gaps and deficiencies noted.

U.S. Insurance Company

Performed a focused evaluation to determine the root cause of internal communications failures
during the company’s response to a catastrophic weather event. The examination uncovered some significant organizational and structural problems that prevented timely and effective execution of the company’s incident management function. EMSS documented these issues and developed a comprehensive set of recommendations to revamp all aspects of incident management including initial event assessment, notification and activation of incident management resources, and communication protocols between the incident management team and key internal and external stakeholders.
