Reading the news about the incredible snowfall in the Northeast, the comments from the Weather Channel staff caught my eye. If your storm catches the attention of the Weather Channel, you know it can’t be good! One quote from a meteorologist said, “This impresses (even) us – and we see a lot of weather.
A monster lake-effect snowstorm that pummeled areas from South Buffalo to Alden, NY with up to 6 feet of snow in 24 hours is responsible for at least four deaths, authorities reported. Three of the deaths were apparently heart attacks resulting from moving snow or cars and the fourth died as a result of an automobile accident.
The name for this phenomenon, Snowvember. Kinda catchy!
Be safe out there!
