Following the devastating tornado in Oklahoma this week, FEMA sent out reminders to those of us registered on their website to come back and learn what to do to be ready for disaster. FEMA has come a long way over the past few years – having professional emergency managers at the helm makes a huge difference (a long way from the “way to go Brownie” days!).
The FEMA website – ready.gov is a fabulous resource with great information and materials, much of it in well done, downloadable PDFs for easy reproduction. If you haven’t been in a awhile, check it out and more importantly, share it with family, friends, co-workers, church members, students, and others so we can all be better prepared for our next event.
