On October 31, come and hear Tom Uretsky from the Monterey Bay Aquarium (MBA) and I talk about their fabulous program.  MBA is a world-class aquarium that has a significant research and education component.  So how do you manage a business continuity and emergency response program for one of the world’s great institutions with iconic and endangered species?  Carefully!

Nestled directly on the beautiful Monterey Bay, the MBA has some unique challenges and risks. It started down the path of developing business continuity plans in 2006 and since that time has it developed an extensive program that includes: BCP, emergency response, crisis communications and pandemic plans.

With over 200,000 animals in the collection, 1,500 staff including volunteers and 2 million annual visitors this comprehensive program presents many unusual challenges.   Attend this session to learn how the MBA meets the challenges of planning for this dynamic, living environment.  And those otters are so cute!!!
