The lead paragraph by the North Korean news authority is, and I quote, “Strange thing that happened in the heart of the U.S., the ill-famed cesspool of injustice, is now afloat in the world as shocking news. The NDC of the DPRK [North Korea] highly estimates the righteous action taken by the “guardians of peace,” though it is not aware of their residence.”

North Korea has threatened unspecified attacks on the US in an escalation of a war of words following the Sony Pictures cyber-attacks. In a fiery statement, the North warned of strikes against the White House, Pentagon and “the whole US mainland”.

This was of course right after reports that North Korea’s Internet was experiencing a major disruption and that it could be the target of an attack. By whom? US, China, just luck!?!?!

“After 24hrs of increasing instability, North Korean national Internet has been down hard for more than 2hrs,” Dyn Research posted on Twitter on Monday.

The reported outage comes amid an escalating war of words between the United States and North Korea over a massive cyberattack on Sony Pictures.

It is becoming quite a story. What if your company was Sony?  I hope you have been thinking, discussing, planning and working on this possibility!
