California’s earthquake excitement and preparedness activities are coming to the Mid-West this Spring. Join the Great Central US ShakeOut earthquake drill set for April 28 at 10:15am!
On October 21, 2010 at 10:21 a.m., more than 7.9 million people practiced Drop, Cover, and Hold On and other aspects of family, school, and organizational emergency plans. The ShakeOut is now spreading to other areas, including British Columbia, Nevada, Oregon, and the Central U.S.!
More than one million people in an eight-state region are expected to participate in “The Great Central U.S. ShakeOut” earthquake drill April 28, 2011, at 10:15 a.m. This is a great opportunity for schools, businesses, government agencies, families and others to register now to participate in the drill, which will highlight “Drop, Cover and Hold” protective actions people should take when an earthquake begins. Anyone interested in participating in the drill can register at www.shakeout.org/centralus.
