Meg Keehan has worked as an Executive Secretary, a COBOL programmer, a Senior Business Continuity Analyst, a Vice President, and co-founded a contingency planning consulting company. She has worked for such diverse companies as CBS, AMD, Visa, and First Franklin Financial Corporation. She has presented seminars at industry conferences on testing business recovery plans, and wrote business recovery articles for industry publications. Graduating from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management, Meg holds non-practicing CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) and CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) certifications.
For EMSS, she acts as technical writer and editor, often heard but never seen. She brings her business continuity and technology-oriented background to client Design Team meetings, and maintains document sets for client exercises. In addition, she plucks bad grammar and misplaced punctuation from reports and presentations, replacing them with pithy bon mots and meaningful commas, making the final product shine with clarity and precision.
When she’s not working on documents, Meg is an avid knitter (she’s a knitting instructor and knitwear designer) and writer (she’s written six novels while participating in National Novel Writing Month). If she’s traveling, you’ll most likely find her at a Disney park, in Las Vegas, or on a cruise.
